Hi friends,
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s theme is : a freebie!
I have decided to look back into the rearview mirror and give you the list of the best books that I have read since five years of blogging!
Some books were transformative in a heart wrenching way like Birthday by Meredith Russo or The Silver Cage by Anonymous.
Other were joyful and felt like a breath of fresh air like The House in the Cerulean Sea.
Others had the art of banter down to a T like Stalking Jack the Ripper (with a favorite book boyfriend) or Sorcery of Thorns.
Others were unorthodox, arresting with also outstanding writing like A Charm of Finches, The Reckless Oath we Made.
Others were swooping love stories that made you feel elated and moved beyond tears like The Mists of the Serengetti or Bring Down the Stars.
Others were writing masterpieces were the authors outdid themselves like Empire of the Vampire (epic fantasy) or Beartown (frightening social study).
And then you have the one who has been shunned and bore the ire of the people while in fact it was a story so diverse and imaginative that everyone should read it like The Black Witch.

Thanks for reading!
Sophie

Great list of books. Beartown, A Sorcery of Thorns, and the TJ Klune book are all favorites of mine and the rest are on my TBR. 🙂
Thank you Suzanne!!
I’ve read some of these, and apparently I need to add many more!
Too many books and too little time Mogsy LOL
Great roundup of books, the only one I’ve read is Stalking Jack the Ripper which I definitely enjoyed.
Thank you Kal!!
Always happy to see Suanne Laqueur on your lists because I don’t know many who have read her books!
Me neither Stephanie and yet she is a master at her art!
I love this idea for a list I want to read most of these!
I truly hope that you will Tammy!
I get so many great reads from you that I’m saving this post!
That makes me so happy Jacquie!!!
Beartown was something special, but then again, I adore anything Backman writes.
Me too Sam even if Anxious People had me needing quite a long time before falling into it!
Sorcery of Thorns is one of my favorite books <3 Glad to see it on you list!!
