Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

In my private life

Happy Holiday!

I have now officially two weeks off work so yay!

I will be scarce next week, all chasing the sun and spending some time with the family!

This past week has been very busy as I tried to close all files and leave as few as possible for my colleagues to handle while being off work.

Today is election day in Belgium and I was tasked to vote for my daughter who is having her partials at university. I had to queue twice so yay!

But I also know that we can’t complain because at least we are allowed to vote, and vote freely. In some countries, that’s a luxury or even non existent.

Now we’ll have to wait for the results and see if there is a change.

On another somber note, I am feeling quite uneasy with the latest decisions of the French president. Even if I live in Belgium and even if I fully support helping countries who are invaded, I confess that I am not in a hurry to see war coming at my doorstep. Especially with the threat of the atomic bomb… Let’s hope it won’t come to that!

Now let’s have some levity with two funny reels (one with the help of my dog)!

And the other had me playacting being a little girl…. LOL

Last week on the blog (click on the graphic to read the post)

I posted three reviews last week and from three different genres!

Darling Girls was an excellent thriller crime!

The Familiar is a gothic historical fantasy and Leigh Bardugo amazed me once more!

Whereas Darker by Four was a mix of urban fantasy with a feel of anime and a dash of Asian mythology.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Enjoy your time off Sophie! How do you feel about your prime minister resigning? Crazy what is happening with the EU. I think Macron is on his way out too! Hopefully the same thing happens here too!

  2. Yay for 2 weeks off! Politics make me very nervous. So much unrest! I’m curious about The Familiar. I might have to give it a try.
