As planned, yesterday I went to visit an art school (art academy really) as I would like to have some formal training next year. I was undecided between drawing and painting classes but as the painting class teacher does a lot of abstract art and that’s not something I like, I opted for the drawing lessons.
Now, my spot isn’t guaranteed as I need to apply once the registration open and it’s first come first served. Kind of like a bloodbath! So cross your fingers for me as the registration is next week!
I worked a lot and now we are expecting a heat wave! We have no AC and no pool. I wanted to buy a pool, one you put above ground but my daughter lectured me quite harshly saying it was not climate friendly and that I should leave the water to the farmers…
So no pool because of a guilt trip.
I guess I will just have to take bath and sponge bath…
And as usual a reel about collecting stuff…

My favorite read of the month being Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid!
Broken Souls and Bones was a Viking Inspired fantasy!
And Problematic Romance Summer was my least favorite of Ali Hazelwood.

Our heatwave over here was more than a hundred degrees Fahrenheit. I don’t know what I would do without AC! I brought my kids to my gym’s pool all three days lol.

I ended up taking many showers!
I’m going to the coast tomorrow until thursday so at least I’ll be able to avoid the really harsh heat for the most part. But it’ll still be 30° there, on tuesday at least. Belgium is really not made for this!

It’s been hot here too, but we have an air conditioner (a must anywhere in California!) and so it isn’t too bad. Although, it makes it tough to go on runs/walks unless it’s really early or late. Hope you find a way to stay cool, Sophie!

Yes the heat is on. We have a neighborhood pool for 1000 houses. We haven’t gone once since 2019. Maybe this year.

Sorry about the pool-that’s a bummer! Its miserable hot everywhere it seems. Good luck with the art school enrollment! I wouldn’t have enjoyed abstract painting either.

Oh no, only 3 stars for the new Ali Hazelwood! I hope that I enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed her other books but I know the first one in this series was probably one of my least favorite of her books. Fingers crossed you get what you want from the art school! That would be so awesome!
