Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

In my private life

Happy Sunday!

This week has been super busy at work and the whole month will be hectic with me teaching my “craft” all around Belgium!

But today, on Mothers Day, we got to visit my son’s workplace with my mom and mother in law.

How things have changed! Before we took the kids at the office on “family day” and now it’s the other way around LOL

The classes where I’ll teach how to paint book edges are becoming a reality! Two dates have been set and the event posted on Facebook and Instagram! So far we already have five people who filled in the application!

Considering that I asked for a maximum of ten participants to teach and follow them properly, maybe we’ll have a full class! Now I’ll “just” have to explain and teach how to paint LOL

As usual, I am leaving you with some reels.

The first is the unboxing of my Fairyloot April box.

I also had a second unboxing reel where I did a “blind test” if you are interested LOL I tried to guess the pins I got from @no0nedesigns while wearing a blindfold!

And as is custom now, a reel where people have to guess the book based on the opening line! I changed the format as I decided to leave a clue at the end of the reel. Did you guess?

Last week I posted only two reviews because I was engrossed in reading a big book that turned out to be my best read of 2023 so far with Amina Al Sirafi and Hell Bent!

Happy Place by Emily Henry is an amazing second chance romance full of heart, flawed characters and it took me on a roller coaster of emotions!

Shanghai Immortal by A.Y Chao was an eGalley and I had so much fun with that prickly heroine!

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. I would be fun to visit your child at work! I am glad that you were able to do that. Good luck with the class that you are planning to teach. I do agree that Happy Place was a great book!

  2. Yay on the classes coming together. I loved Happy Place, too! Hope you enjoyed Mother’s Day, Sophie! 🙂

  3. I’d love to visit my son’s workplace. He has the option to work remotely but prefers to go into the office. I suspect he has some nerdy stuff on his desk. Like mother like son, lol.

  4. I hope you had an amazing family day. How fun! I am not surprised to see so much interest in your class. You do great work, and I am sure everyone will have a great time painting their books.

  5. I also loved Happy Place. I think your painted covers are gorgeous but I would never try to do them. I hope you get a full class though; I’m sure it would be fun..
