Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
This week has been super busy at work and the whole month will be hectic with me teaching my “craft” all around Belgium!
But today, on Mothers Day, we got to visit my son’s workplace with my mom and mother in law.
How things have changed! Before we took the kids at the office on “family day” and now it’s the other way around LOL
The classes where I’ll teach how to paint book edges are becoming a reality! Two dates have been set and the event posted on Facebook and Instagram! So far we already have five people who filled in the application!
Considering that I asked for a maximum of ten participants to teach and follow them properly, maybe we’ll have a full class! Now I’ll “just” have to explain and teach how to paint LOL
As usual, I am leaving you with some reels.
The first is the unboxing of my Fairyloot April box.
I also had a second unboxing reel where I did a “blind test” if you are interested LOL I tried to guess the pins I got from @no0nedesigns while wearing a blindfold!
And as is custom now, a reel where people have to guess the book based on the opening line! I changed the format as I decided to leave a clue at the end of the reel. Did you guess?

Last week I posted only two reviews because I was engrossed in reading a big book that turned out to be my best read of 2023 so far with Amina Al Sirafi and Hell Bent!
Happy Place by Emily Henry is an amazing second chance romance full of heart, flawed characters and it took me on a roller coaster of emotions!
Shanghai Immortal by A.Y Chao was an eGalley and I had so much fun with that prickly heroine!
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

That’s such a fun activity for Mother’s Day! Also, so exciting about the classes, I’m sure you’ll end up with a full class!
We were at 9 the last time they said people signed in!!! And I asked for 10 max!
What a nice activity for Mother’s Day, I bet your son really appreciated it! Hope you had a great Mother’s Day 🙂
He was so proud to show us everything Mogsy!
I would be fun to visit your child at work! I am glad that you were able to do that. Good luck with the class that you are planning to teach. I do agree that Happy Place was a great book!
It was amazing to read!
Yay on the classes coming together. I loved Happy Place, too! Hope you enjoyed Mother’s Day, Sophie! 🙂
I did Rachel, thank you!
Really exciting teaching moments to come, Sophie! Make the most out of them! 😀 Will you be sharing pictures of the event?
Of course I will! Probably showing more hands than heads with our GDPR rules but yes!
Wish I wasn’t 4,000 miles away because I would definitely take your class! 🙂
I’d love that Tanya!
That’s exciting about your painting class! I hope it’s a lot of fun Happy Mother’s Day!
I hope so too Tammy!
I’d love to visit my son’s workplace. He has the option to work remotely but prefers to go into the office. I suspect he has some nerdy stuff on his desk. Like mother like son, lol.
LOL! I don’t have nerdy stuff on my desk but at home I have my bookshelves behind me filled with funko pops.
LOL on the role reversal for the visit at the workplace! And a big thumbs up for the upcoming painting classes: I simply love what you do with books 🙂
Thank you SO MUCH Maddalena!
You have done such a good job with those painted edges. Glad to hear on the family day, thats super cool! Family is everything!
Indeed Renee!!!
I hope you had an amazing family day. How fun! I am not surprised to see so much interest in your class. You do great work, and I am sure everyone will have a great time painting their books.
Thank you for the vote of confidence Sam! I’ll take pictures 😉
Happy Mother’s Day! You have so many fun things going on. 🙂
I do Greg!
I’m so happy that your crafty dreams are happening!! It will be so cool! And your reels are always fun!
Thank you Samantha!
I also loved Happy Place. I think your painted covers are gorgeous but I would never try to do them. I hope you get a full class though; I’m sure it would be fun..
