Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
Well my dog is still drinking a lot and …peeing a lot! Day and night! So I guess I’ll be back to the vet next week because that’s three weeks of little sleep for me and I am no longer in my prime!
Read: I am no longer twenty or even thirty to be awaken several times a night and be all bouncy the day after!
My dog even peed in bed twice in a row! Because she never woke me up as she was deeply asleep!
Lucky me, we have a mattress with a first layer that can be unzipped and washed. But that was a lot of washing in two days, duvet included!
And trying to make her sleep in her own bed didn’t work either! She barked for half the night and I ended up sleeping on the sofa alongside her…
I even tried two dog nappies but I guess I didn’t have the right brand because it slipped…
Tonight I will try cleanable ones and hope they won’t slip not overflow! Cross your fingers for me would you?
That news aside, the week went well with four days off and lots of lazing for me.
Beware of the Husband was in France with friends to do mountainbiking in Auvergne. He’ll be back in a few hours and from what I got, very sore everywhere LOL
Now I did something I don’t do that often this week: watch TV!
I so wanted to watch Heartstopper by Alice Oseman and it was frigging so cute and warm and adorable!
If you haven’t watched it yet and want to feel good, have some positivity and sweetness, just do it!
I am leaving the trailer here below.
And I did another reel on Instagram this time nothing funny but I tried my hand in a aesthetic reel because I want to convince everyone to read THE MAID by NIta Prose!
On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)
This week I posted three reviews! I was the first astonished! And I have two more next week for you already! Go me 😉
And that one is a big crush and will be on my top reads of 2022 alongside The Maid!
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

I keep hearing such good things about Heartstopper. But since I’m not a TV watcher I do not have Netflix. Maybe I can see some clips somewhere just to see how Charlie and Nick are portrayed. 🙂
The trailers are already very very good and warm and fuzzy and …LOL
How old is your dog? Our doggos are very much like people in that way, sometimes the bodily functions just aren’t as controlled as we age! Hopefully you can figure out what it is so you can get some rest!
She is 12 Magsy! An old lady 😉
Oh goodness, I hope the vet figures out what is going on with your dog so that you can get some rest. I haven’t watched Heartstopper yet. I was debating on whether or not to read the books first because I’ve heard such good things about both.
Well I’ll read the book after it seems Suzanne LOL
Hopefully your dog will get better soon and you will regain your well-deserved sleep! As a borderline insomniac, I know what it means not to get enough sleep…
That’s what I hope too Maddalena!
I don’t know how you’ve made it this long without good sleep! I’d be a walking zombie, dead on my feet and biting everyone’s heads off. I really need a lot of sleep to survive lol.
I don’t know either!! 😉
I hope your dog feels better soon! Take care, Sophie!
Thank you Lashaan!
Wow you do understand the bad sleep with dog barking scenario. When our last dog had issues with kidney stones and peed all the time, we were able to do diapers with her. She ended up on special food which got rid of the kidney stones so she didn’t have to have surgery. Good luck!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thank you Anne!
I’m sorry to hear that your dog is still struggling and that you’re not getting the sleep you need because of it. I hope the vet can help. I don’t bounce back from lack of sleep anymore either.
I want to read Heartstopper, but I want to read the graphic novel first. I need to get access to it. Hopefully soon! There’s a long waitlist at my library.
I hope you’ll get to read it soon because it’s simply so good!
Heartsopper looks cute! And your poor doggo! (And you). I hear you- I don’t bounce back from no sleep anymore like I used to lol.
Hope beware of the Husband isn’t too sore ha ha. I miss youth when I do things like that!
Have a nice week! 🙂
Thank you Greg!!
I put diapers on Gigi too (when she has her period) and they slip a lot too so I think that just happens easily with dog nappies.
Oh that’s right you must experience it with Gigi!
Poor pup (and mom, too). I hope they can get whatever is going on with your dog under control. That is tough. Will your dog on on the wee wee pads? My sister scatters those for her older dog when they are out. She did caging at night too (but bought a super big cage for the size of her dog)
I use diapers for some days now, of better quality and that seems to help!
I hope she’ll feel better soon and stops peeing. Be careful about sleeping on the couch though, I started it and now my cat wakes me up every night and I have to sleep half of the night on the couch (which doesn’t fit my full length, it’s 1.40m so you can guess how well I sleep on that) or she makes a lot of noise (I don’t want to wake the neighbours so I’ve given in and now I’m stuck with it). Thanks for the tip about Heartstopper, I could do with such a show right now so I’m definitely checking it out!
Oh my INge!! I am sorry that you have to sleep on the couch!!
I am curious about Heartstopper. And I’m feeling angst for you about the dog peeing. This kind of thing is probably why I have no pets!
Enjoy your week!
Thank you Laurel!
I hope your pup is okay!! That is frustrating and worrying so I am sure there is no sleep for you! Hopefully the vet can give you some insight! Hugs!
Thank you Samantha!
Oh, hope your dog will be better soon and you’ll get some good sleep again – that sounds like a stressful couple of weeks!
I’m so happy you loved Heartstopper, I’ve been loving the show so much too (and glad it got renewed for 2 more seasons)!
Me too Lindsey! And I think I’ll go for a re watch!
Poor little pooch and a sleep deprived you! Hopefully the vet can get to the bottom of it soon xx
Heartstopper is absolutely adorable, and I can’t wait for the next season I hope your dog is better soon and you get more sleep!
