Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
First I come begging for forgiveness because this week I was unable to reply to your comments!
I was simply too exhausted.
On Monday and Tuesday I had a migraine while still coaching colleagues. On Wednesday I coached so late that I was back home at 8 PM. And two colleagues were sick so I had to stretch to give a hand to both teams.
So I confess that in the evening all I wanted was to shower, eat, read a little and sleep!
Come Friday though I had a day off and treated my mother to a restaurant and an afternoon of shopping. And I totally ignored the blog as I really needed to enjoy the moment and be far from a computer!
So I’ll be replying and commenting back after posting this!
Sorry guys but my sanity and health came first this week.
No reel to show either as I have been scarce on Instagram too, having no energy to make videos!
I hope your week was less exhausting than mine!
On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)
As I had planned all my posts, I did post four times!!!
The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth was a good mystery/crime that kept me guessing a long time!
Never a Hero by Vanessa Len is a really worthy sequel that makes me want to read the next book now!

And In the Lives of Puppets by TJ Klune is found family at its best!
That’s it! Thanks for reading!
Sophie

Taking time off from the blog should NOT feel like a guilt trip! 😉
Thank you Maddalena! 😉
I’ve been there (not being able to reply) more than I’d like to admit this year. I imagine we all have. 🙂
That’s life for you I guess jen!
Hope you’ve had some time to unwind and feel better from the exhaustion! And now you have me adding The Soulmate to my audio list!
I can’t wait for your review Mogsy!
What a busy week you have had there. It can be so exhausting to have those tiring weeks right?
Right!
I hope this week is less stressful! I certainly know how those weeks feel.
And I hope you won’t have anymore fright with your health this week!
No worries, Sophie. We’ve all been there and I’m there currently as well. I’ve been awful about commenting and even posting at all lately because work and life just has me so tired all the time.
I know your field of work gets crazy busy at times Suzanne!
Sounds like a crazy week! I hope you have time to relax and recharge at some point.
I did just that this weekend Tammy 😉
Sounds like you had a tiring week indeed, Sophie. Definitely never apologize for putting your own sanity and health first, that’s always most important, it’s good to take a break every now and then! Hope this upcoming week will be less exhausting for you!
Thank you Lindsey!
Your own sanity and health should always come first, Sophie. Hope this week is better for you.
Thank you Teri!
I feel this post. Sometimes I won’t visit or comment for a few days and then I catch up…we all need to unplug. Especially if your day job involves commuters…
Exactly Kimberly!
I didn’t do much with my blog this week either. I just didn’t have the mental energy to deal with anything. I hope that this is a much calmer week for you. I loved The Soulmate and might have to pick up In the Lives of Puppets.
And I hope this week is better for you too Carole!
I hope you get some better balance this week ahead. yes you should enjoy your time with your mom.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thank you Anne!
Sounds like you had a super busy week. It’s nice you got to end it with some quality time with mom.
Indeed Sam!
You sure love to stay busy, Sophie! Careful and take care of yourself! 🙂
I will!
Sanity and health always come first Sophie! Hope this week is less busy for you!
Sounds like a hectic week! I hope you’re having a nice recharging weekend 🙂
Thank you Greg!
What an exhausting week you had, Sophie! You really needed the time away on Friday to recharge with your mom. I hope you’ve been able to rest and relax this weekend and that the upcoming week is easier on you!
Thank you Tanya!
I’m sure everyone understands. I’ve been very hit and miss with my blogging schedule while coping with Long Covid, because there are things that HAVE to be done and sometimes the blog falls off that list. So don’t worry – you’re right to put yourself first and having quality time with your mother is vital. I hope you get a chance to recover and the coming week is kinder, Sophie:)).
I think it will! I won’t tour Belgium to teach at least LOL
