Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .Â
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
Nothing exciting happened this week except this morning as I had a fright because my blog was unresponsive!
I swear every time it happens I am seriously thinking of stopping with blogging as I go into panic mode! I am completely clueless and have to ask Beware of the Husband to help me out of my misery…
That aside, we discovered ChatGPT this morning with my husband, asking him questions about coding to “how to become famous” or the war in Ukraine etc. It’s terrifying the speed of his answers and how that AI can find work solutions to coding! Soon, people will be out of a job as the machine can do it better and faster!
We laughed when my husband asked how to handle a woman’s menopausis. I appreciated that the AI told him to be patient, care for her etc.:-)
Now about today’s title…
For three days now I have been completely engrossed in listening to Fourth Wing! That book is just amazing and I have done gardening and every chore I could think of to just keep listening!
For a long time on Friday, I truly thought of taking a day off just to read!
Just one reel to share here, the one with the opening line and asking if you can guess the book! Can you?
On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)
I have reviewed three books and one of them was an excellent surprise!
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

I just finished Fourth Wing! A darn good read indeed!
Right Mogsy?
I hate blogging issues! My hubby is helpful with solving computer/blog issues, too. Thank goodness yours was able to help and get you up and running again. I haven’t heard of ChatGPT but we do have Alexa and she answers all kinds of random stuff and will tell you a joke if you like. We use her for cooking timers and solving equations, etc. I’ll have to check out ChatGPT.
We are lucky to have our husbands Rachel!
I haven’t checked out ChatGPT yet, but I admit to being curious. It sounds like it will be a nightmare for schools. I lean toward not liking the idea of it being used for writing novels and creating art, but I don’t know all that much about it. I just worry about a loss of creativity and free and critical thinking. I love the answer your husband got regarding menopause though. LOL
Fourth Wing sounds really good and I am glad to hear you are enjoying it!
I hope you have a great week!
I am not liking the idea of using it to write or create art either!
I am laughing so hard that your husband asked the AI how to handle menopause and it told him to be patient. LOL Hopefully he heeds that advice. Haha. Oh wow, you started Fourth Wing! I just got my hard copy last week and am so excited for it! Everyone is positively raving about it.
Well yes he did Tanya! He is such a geek!
There are already books that have been written or are in the progress with things like ChatGPT and it’s so scary!
Agreed Stephanie!
I loved Fourth Wing!
I haven’t yet played with ChatGTP, though my son was just telling me today that it’s become a problem for the teachers at their school.
Wishing you a great reading week
Thank you Shelleyrae!
Yep, I also flip everytime my blog is « unresponsive »… which almost always is a false alarm, or get back rather quickly
Ahh I dream of off days spent reading without a care! .. but alas gaming gets the best of me, and eventually falling asleep during the day ahah.
I know LOL
I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying Fourth Wing. That’s one I really want to read. The more I read and hear about AI, the more it freaks me out, lol.
I hope you’ll get to read it Suzanne!
Oh my gosh, Fourth Wing is so good! I can’t wait for the second book to come out.
I am nearly finished and I know I’ll ned the second book now!
I keep hearing about CHATGTP and I have so little idea what that is. I’m behind the times! And yes- the blog not being responsive can definitely elevate the stress level!
It’s an artificial intelligence, open source that you can use to ask questions, solve problems and is damn effective!
I’m glad you are enjoying your books so much!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Oh I sure do Anne!
AI sure can be crazy scary but if we’re aware of it and have control over what it can achieve, we should be safe. For now. 😉
For now Lashaan!;-)
I understand your pain and thoughts of quitting when things go wrong on the blog. Glad you were able to get it fixed quickly. I hope the book has a satisfying ending for you (though it looks like a series)
I know you undestand Sam with all the comments pain and you moving back to bloglover because it was too damn much!
Yes… there’s quite a big debate within writing circles about the use of A.I. programs in the writing process. I’m not all that technically minded, so haven’t considered it. But there’s a fair few authors who are using it to help with outlining or getting first drafts down. Which is quite a scary prospect… I’ve just looked up Fourth Wing – I think I’m going to have to snaffle a copy as I LOVE anything draconic:)). Thank you for the recommendation! Have a great week, Sophie
I hope you’ll get your copy of Fourth Wing and that you’ll love it!
I have been playing with AI chats a little. I like to have them tell me a joke sometimes. I always ask silly things. I haven’t started 4th wing yet, but everyone is raving! Have a great week!
Have a great week too Samantha!
All the AI stuff is kinda scary lol I am not sure how I feel about it, its not like we live in a world like Star Trek haha I am glad you are enjoying Fourth Wing, I am on the fence on it to be honest. I haven’t really been super impressed with that author so far and if its SJA or JLA style of fantasy, it probably won’t be for me haha but waiting on more reviews for it.
I can promise you that her style is vastly different in this one!
AI is so frightening! Glad your blog seems to be back to normal. 🙂
I’m starting Fourth Wing this week, and I’m super happy you’re loving it I’m going to have to look up ChatGPT! Have a great week, Sophie
You too Tammy and enjoy Fourth Wing!
