Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
I noticed today that I still have comments from last Sunday to reply to and I am sorry! Jetpack is currently preventing me from replying when I am on the post, only allowing me to reply from the “comments” section in the dashboards and it seems that I have missed some!
So, about my week…
It was still filled with smoothies, soups, yoghurt and co while I was recovering from my mouth surgery of last week.
I was so fed up to take so long to try to eat soft food that I ended up making lots of smoothies and baby food!
The good news is that I visited my dentist on Friday and he is very happy with how things are going! He said we’ll have close to a 100% success rate so yay!
I am not losing all that weight I didn’t have to lose for noting!
Yesterday it was even a feast as I ate my first slice of bred in 10 days! Victory!
A girl has to take some pleasure where she can get right (I fear my hubby’s comment on that last sentence….:-D ).
Back to the title of today’s post now.
On Friday morning, I was due to go to the car shop for the annual maintenance. It was a freezing morning so I decided to go ahead and warm the car to have all the frost melting only…when I tried to start the car, she lit up like a Christmas tree!
Literally!
Every light on the dashboard was flickering and I had warning signals for “motor problem”, “park problem”, “brake problems” and…the alarm too!
I think I must have woken up all the neighbors!
When I got back into the house to fetch “Beware of the Husband” (you know, that super hero) he met me with a “Only you! Only you have that kind of problems.”.
But he was no more successful.
We called for a patrol and it was a battery problem. When he loaded up the battery I didn’t stop the car and went straight to the car shop to have said maintenance and a new battery.
I kid you not: I arrived at 8:40 AM (instead of the scheduled 8:20 AM because…battery problems) and waited till …2:20 PM to get my car back!
And in between I had to rush to the dentist so I called my other super hero (because hubby was working): my mom! 52 and still calling mommy to the rescue. And I am not ashamed!
Anyway, she saved my day, had me for my dentist appointment and all was well in the end.
I did something fun yesterday, to change from the car and gum problems: a new funko pop!
This was my most challenging so far but I am very proud of it. Sorry for the bad lighting it was dark when I finished yesterday.
For those who have read The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy, this is Auren!

And I had another great news on Friday: I’ll be an Owlcrate representative through April!
It was perfect timing as I just got their January box and I celebrated with a fun unboxing full of magical transitions and…super hero pose LOL
On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)
I posted two reviews (I still have three more to write) and one Top Ten Tuesday!
Sophie

Wow!! That’s a busy and crazy week! I am glad that your surgery was a success and that you got your car all sorted out. Moms really are superheroes!! 🙂
Glad to hear you’re feeling up to eating more solid foods again! And wow, what a day with the car issues, but great to have at least two heroes that have your back when you need it 🙂 Also, love your Auren funko-pop!
Thank you Lindsey!
Yay for having more than one hero in your life and yay for healing and finally getting to eat some better foods. I hope you have a great week!
Thank you Suzanne!
What a day you had between the car issues and the dentist! Thank good for family who comes to the rescue. 🙂
Yes and I often wonder what I’d do without them!
Glad you’re healing, Sophie. Also hope you got some reading in during that long wait for your car. That amount of time seems unreasonable.
It was unreasonable Teri!
Here’s to hoping that the next week will prove to be as uneventful as possible! 🙂
Oh yes Maddalena!
Glad you’re feeling better! Solid food after recovery from mouth surgery is always nice. And yikes about the car problem! We had something like that happen on vacation last summer- we were camping and it was at night (naturally), all quiet, and suddenly the car alarm starts going off. some short. that sucked 🙂
That must have been quite a shock indeed! All black and night then noise and all!
Love the funko!! And glad the dental surgery was successful. It would be awful to go through all that and it not be effective.
Exactly Samantha!
I am glad the dentist’s report was a good one! I hope you continue to have a smooth recovery. I am glad you were able to get the car fixed after the light show. That must have been quite a shock. Talk about timing! I hope you have a great week!
Yes it was a shock 🙂 and thank you!
I’m so glad you had some amazing reads along with good dental news. Even though the gums and car caused some problems this week. I hope this week is much easier.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thank you Anne!
You could write a book about your misadventures! lol
Glad your mouth is healing and Super Hubby was there to help sort the car problems.
I know! The misadventures of Sophie LOL
It just never stops for you does it?? lol I am just happy that you are healing with your gums even if the car issues didn’t help much. Always nice to have those superheroes in our lives that help make things a bit easier.
Happy Sunday Reading!
Thank you Renee!
Wow! The funko is stunning! Also, congrats on being an Owlcrate rep!
Thank you!!!
I love that funko!
Thank you!!
You’re welcome!
What a fun week! Not!! Car problems, and I do remember those days. I guess this is the upside of no longer having a car. I just have to find rides!! Lyft is working better these days, which means the driver arrived within 5 minutes each time! Last summer, it took 45 minutes.
I have a dental appointment on Wednesday, so I am counting on Lyft to work properly that day. Mine will just be a cleaning…and hopefully no problems will be discovered!
I love those cute little funko pops. Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
Lyft seems a pretty good option Laurel!
Car troubles are not fun, but that is good news about your mouth healing well, and congratulations on Owl Crate! Your funko is beautiful. I love gold and shimmer.
Thank you so much Sam!!
Wow, you had a crazy week, Sophie! I hope this one is a little calmer. I love the Funko Pops
Thank you Tammy!
Hi Sophie! Sorry to hear you’ve had dental surgery and about the liquid diet! I swear the liquid diet would be one of the worst things to deal with for me… I hate drinking my food! lol Although, chunky soups are acceptable as they need a spoon 😉
Fingers crossed you’re able to start building back up! I bet that bread tasted like nectar of the gods.
Congrats on the Owlcrate rep! Your insta is awesome so it is well deserved!
Thank you Nicci!!!
What a week Sophie! But Auren looks fab and great Owlcrate news for you! Hope this week is less busy for you!
Me too Caro!
