WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @Taking On A World Of Words, the rules are simple you just have to answer these three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?

Nothing as I just finished Phoenix Unbound and will pick my next read (see below)

What did I recently finished?

I DNF Timid by Devney Perry (unfortunately), read and reviewed Rhapsodic by Laura Thalassa. I read but still need to review Sea Prayer by Khaled Hosseini and today I just finished Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven!!!! I have written the draft of the review and hope to post it on Friday!

What will I read next?

Well that’s where it gets interesting as not only was I approved for Fall by Kristen Callihan and will read it next week BUT I ‘ve been contacted on Twitter then via mail by Anonymous! No he or she is not a hacker but the author of The Silver Cage, a book that changed my view on LGBTQ stories and left me completely destroyed!

So much that I had to write an “Open Letter to Anonymous” as I could not interview him or her!!!

So when he or she messaged me to ask if I was interested in getting a copy of The Silver Cord, the second book but kind of a prequel , because he had loved my review ….I nearly cried! No I am not dramatic. You must know by now that I have a very passionate relationship with books and sometimes authors (no we don’t have THAT kind of relationship LOL) so I eat, drink, breathe these stories.

They are real to me and I guess to other bookworms.

So being contacted and offered this opportunity is a VERY BIG THING for me.

By the way, if you want to read my review of The Silver Cage, click on the graphic.

OK stopping here…

What are you reading? Do you have some fantastic book that I should know about?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. Congratulations, Sophie! I hope you enjoy the book! I recently finished Not Even Bones
by Rebecca Schaeffer and I really loved it. I’m currently not reading anything but I’m still trying to figure out what to read next.
    Happy reading! 🙂

  2. I always have mixed feelings about DNF books. On one hand, I’m incredibly disappointed and on the other, I’m glad I didn’t have to continue to trudge through the book. Hope you pick up some amazing reads to make up for that DNF.

  3. So many good ones. Sorry about the DNF. I guess we have to come across one once in a while. Thought they haunt me. How awesome about Anonymous. I bet you’ll tear into that book ASAP! LOL And I get very emotional about books too:)
