#BookBoyfriendChallenge Day 22

Royal

At first I was all “Oh Hell” as I thought I did not read many books about royalty per se. But then I decided to “branch out” and consider Royal as a loose term.

You see in fantasy you can be Royal without being a king but rather a High Lord reigning on a court.

So I had the perfect royal book boyfriend!

My winner of the day is:

-tall,

-dark,

-has wings,

-is the most powerful male of the story,

-is handsome,

-loves his mate so much that he would disappear and let her go if it meant she was happy,

-is the most badass and gorgeous hero I’ve read about in fantasy. He features in some of my fantasies but shhhhhhh don’t tell my hubs 😉

I name: Rhysand from ACOTAR series by Sarah J Maas.

What I wrote about Rhysand:

“The dark High Fey Lord, Amarantha’s wh@re , the “enemy” in the first book stepped into this tragedy and asked Feyre to hold her side of the bargain. And I was grateful, yes grateful for Rhys to “kidnap” Feyre one week each month because she stopped fading away. With his taunts, he brought her back from the pit of despair she was slowly slipping in. He pushed her to fight, to hone her new skills. Relentless, he didn’t coddle her up, didn’t try to put her aside didn’t use her like a glorified pet. Not once did Rhys deny Feyre her freedom to choose her fate: fight or stay behind. Even if it killed him sometimes to see her exposed to danger.

Now what I really appreciated was his faith in Feyre. His love was not the caging one. He gave wings to Feyre. Set her free. Had her see her true abilities. Even when he was frightened to death about the danger she would face he did not try to coddle or discourage. He just gave her his strength.”

Favorite quote:

“You do not fear”, Rhys breathed. “You do not falter. You do not yield. You go in, you get her, and you come out again.”
