Synopsis

Working as a nanny for the world’s grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can’t keep my eyes off him. And he can’t keep his hands off of me.
Cade Eaton is thirteen years older than I am and barely looks my way. Until I get him into the hot tub one night for a game of truth or dare. Then all bets are off—and so are our clothes.
He’s gruff, a little rough around the edges. But broad-shouldered ranchers with calloused hands and filthy mouths are this city girl’s kryptonite. So who am I to resist?
But it’s in our quiet moments together that he softens. It’s when he takes care of me that I realize his hardened exterior is just a façade. It’s when I watch him go all sweet with his little boy that I really fall for him.
Someone convinced him once that his best wasn’t good enough. But I’ve never felt more cherished than I do in his arms.
My contract may say this arrangement is only for two months.
But my heart says this is forever.
Bite size review
4 stars for that sweet romance.
It was my first Elsie Silver book, recommended by friends on Instagram.
What you’ll find in this one:
-small town romance;
-hot cowboys;
-grumpy (Cade) sunshine (Willa) combo;
-age gap;
-single dad (and the kid, Luke is adorable);
-lots of chemistry and slow building;
-very hot and very explicit sex scenes;
-a whole cast of very interesting side character who had or could/will have their own stories;
-not a lot of angst (just like I love it) but rather a hurt hero who fears being hurt again.
I read it in one day and it was all that I needed at that time. It’s easy to read, both main characters are adorable (even if Cade is grumpy and hot while Willa is a friecracker). The banter and the interaction with Cade’s family was a very nice bonus and of course, Luke, the little kid, made me melt as he was super adorable.
Just read it if you love small town romance with cowboys and single parent.
Thanks for reading!

I feel like an echo, but Silver seems to be everywhere these days. Glad taking the chance worked out for you
Me too Sam!
Elsie Silver has been everywhere lately and I’ve been meaning to read something by her. This one sounds perfect for when I want something low-drama/low-angst.
I think that will be perfect for that Tanya!
