Wallpapering hero to the rescue!

Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

In my private life

Happy Sunday!

First sorry that I disappeared again last week! When I decided to remodel my daughter’s room to make it my own I certainly underestimated the work and skills needed!

We began my daughter and I around August 18th and the wallpaper has just been placed on the walls today!

And not thanks to my daughter or my talent but thanks to a hero: my husband!

We tried last week my daughter and I but after three failed and wonky attempts, we decided to wait for the expert…my husband!

He kindly accepted to help and since my daughter has been sick for more than one week, I spent the whole weekend last week from 9 AM to 7 PM helping him (read hand him the tools, cut the paper, clean the rag etc) as well as the whole day yesterday and today morning! We are both knackered!

This being the reason why I have been unable to blog hop or post a Sunday Post last weekend!

Now we have to clean everything (again) and paint! But painting is something my daughter an I can do…

I will be so relieved when this will be finished!

I promise I will post pictures.

That’s basically all the news as I have been super busy at work too (we are two to do the work of three people).

Oh I almost forgot!

Yesterday I interviewed live James Trevino and Elizabeth Sagan.

If you are on Instagram, you probably know them as huge influencers and creators of beautiful and unique pictures. Well now they wrote a book that will be published in April: Gravespell.

I was offered the book to read (review to come) and I loved it so much that I asked to interview them both. They agreed and here is the link to said interview (with a flop at the beginning as I hadn’t turned my camera around but oh well…)

Now as usual I am leaving you with a funny reel about what to save and pack in a fire!

Last week on the blog (click on the graphic to read the text)

Last week I managed to post two reviews but only because I had planned them way ahead!!!

One is for an excellent thriller and the other for a sweet kid book (talk about different genres read!).

And now I will try to blog hop …finally!

Thanks for reading.

  1. Can’t wait to see the finished room! I’ve been puttering around the family room, but so far just moving shelves and accents. I’ll be getting the couch of my dreams to replace our old one soon! Thanks for sharing :)

  2. You’re braver than I am, Sophie. The last time I tried wallpapering (over 20 years ago), I swore it off for life. Painting isn’t my favorite, but I’ll do it. Never again with wallpaper.

  3. Yes… there’s a reason why makeover shows either paint walls in houses – or provide skilled workpeople to do the wallpaper hanging. I was lucky to have a mother who passed on the knowledge way back when we were doing up our house. But I wouldn’t want to attempt it now! Kudos to your lovely husband and best of luck with the painting:).

  4. I don’t do wallpaper either! My husband does that, but it’s been years since we’ve hung any. I look forward to the photos! I loved Heart of Glass, too!

  5. I used to be good at removing and installing new wallpaper but it’s been a long time now since I’ve done it. Glad you could get the help. How cool that you got to interview them.
