Hi friends,

Today in our Best Reads of 2020 the topic is PNR or Paranormal!

But let’s play a little game first, shalle we?

It’s snowed this night and you need help blowing snow.

The percentage of your battery will tell you which hottie from PNR story will help you!

❄️

0-20% : Cassian from ACOTAR;

21-40% : Will Herondale from TID;

41-60%: Prince Wrath from Kingdom of the Wicked;

61-80% : Nikolai Lantsov from King of Scars;

81-100% : Marck Blackthorn from TDA

❄️

Right now I got Mark and I am happy with it!

Today in #BestReadsOf2020 we vote for our best PNR read in 2020!

I have a long list of contenders like:

✨King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo;

✨Steel & Stone by Annette Marie;

✨A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik;

✨Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco;

✨Crescent City by Sarah J Maas;

…

But my favorite is … CHAIN OF GOLD by Cassandra Clare!

In just a few sentences about Lucie’s love for stories and her role playing in the woods, Cassandra already builds her character and sets the tone to the story. That’s a true gift for a writer! What I love about Cassandra Clare’s book above all else is that she gives us incredible crews! You don’t focus on one or two characters even if the love story makes it seem like you have two main characters. You have an amazing cast of interesting and diverse side characters! They are siblings, family or friends. They all mingle and interact building very interesting dynamics. Yes dynamics, plural.

“Please recall that I am the pale neurasthenic one and you are the stern heroic one”, Matthew said to James. “It is very tedious when you mix up our roles.” “So what is my role?” said Christopher. “Mad inventor, of course,”said Matthew promptly. “And Thomas is the one with a good heart.”

What’s your favorite PNR read this year?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. So many books here I need to read! *sobs* Maybe next year.
    (I have read Steel & Stone though! That’s something…)

  2. I got Nikolai Lantsov and I’m definitely ok with that 🙂
    I still need to read Chain of Gold but I’m trying to wait until more books are out so I can binge-read. Glad you loved it so much! Also, all of your contenders are either some of my favorites or high on my TBR 🙂
