Hi friends,
Third day of Best Reads of 2020 challenge and today’s theme is best thriller.
Today I have one massive winner, a book that had twists within twists : His & Hers by Alice Feeney
It was a book club read on instagram that I should have waited till the end of the month to discuss but …I simply could not stop reading it!
Thrillers and mysteries is not my preferred genre so I might be biased as in “not experienced” in these kind of plots but Alice Feeney had me guessing until the last pages!
Or rather, I thought I had figured it out a first time, close to the end. And it seemed so.
But then, bam! No it was someone else “who did it”!
And when I was confident that now the mystery was solved and I had the “good” murderer, she turned my world on its axis again!
I was left batterd and bruised, knocked out cold!
This is twisted, crazy, tense, savage, creepy … a perfect read for the season.
What was your favorite thriller of 2020?
Thanks for reading!
I love this genre and especially when I’m left guessing until the very end!
I remember how much you adored this one too! Excellent pick for this day! 😀
Thank you Lashaan!
I’ve never heard of this one before! Glad to hear you enjoyed it! 😀
Thank You Em!
OOooh this one sounds really interesting
It is Autumn, I swear!
This year I haven’t read a lot of thriller, and the few I have read weren’t the best (well, now that I think about it, this is not completely true, I had some luck but the majority weren’t so good, sadly!) but this one seems intriguing! Thanks for sharing it!
You are so welcome Susy!
I’m really critical when it comes to thrillers for some reason. I don’t come across a lot when I read one that I really love. But I gotta say this one sounds really good!
I don’t read many aither Stephanie but this one is brilliant!
I’m sooo happy to see this title here, I love this author. I still haven’t read my copy and now I definitely have to wait till next year because I’m struggling with my top 10 enough right now
Bwahahah choosing is always hard Inge!
This sounds amazing! I might give it a shot!
I can’t wait for you to do that Raven!
Oh, I can’t wait to read this book! I’ve been in the waitlist at my local library for forever!!
Thrillers are my favorite reads!
The Other Mrs. by Mary Kubica is really good. And so is The Sea of Lost Girls, by Carol Goodman. Those are both high on my list.
Oooh adding these to my TBR!
I dont really read thrillers, not sure my heart could take it!!!! This one does intrigue me though!
Like you, thrillers aren’t my #1 genre so I always assume that it’s probably pretty easy to impress me and blow my mind. LOL My husband enjoyed a good thriller so I might have to check this one out for him.
I think he will love it Tanya as it does not have any “feminine “feel and certainly can be enjoyed by man or woman!
This sounds awesome!
It is Jacquie!
Ooh! I’m heading to Overdrive right now to put this on hold!
I can’t wait for your thoughts Kim!!!
