Review

4 stars, read in one sitting.

This book has all the ingredients to please romance lovers.

Take a handsome, tortured hero, Jared Knighton, who will do absolutely anything to protect his family. Make him a billionaire and a legend in the jumping world. Give him a tragic past and a current threat looming over everyone he loves, with him quietly working to eliminate it by any means necessary.

Now introduce a younger heroine, seven years his junior, a promising jumper who has worshipped him since she was a little girl. She has just been given the opportunity to train at his world-renowned facility alongside her best friend. She is nearly a horse whisperer. And then have them meet under deeply emotional circumstances.

What you get is instant attraction, an intense push and pull, and a yearning that simmers through every page.

The cherry on top for me? The horses. I absolutely adored reading about them and discovering so much more about the jumping world than I ever expected to. That was a genuine bonus I didn’t see coming.

This turned out to be exactly what I needed: an enjoyable palate cleanser between fantasy reads. And with that awful cliffhanger waiting at the end, you can be absolutely certain I will be reading the sequel.

Thanks for reading.
