Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .Â
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
I took a two weeks break as I was (and still am) working in my daughter’s room to revamp it into a “me” space with a bed, desk and a library!
I also traveled a short week to London and York.
As you can see I was very busy and I will still be busy for at least two more weeks! So excuse me if I can’t comment and blog hop as often as I would like.
Now about my travel to London and York… everything went smoothly!
I took 8 trains total and none had one minute of delay!
York was very beautiful, smaller than London with lots of historical sites and small shops (my wallet is not thanking me!).
One day we visited the Minster and climbed the tower. My smart watch told me that I had climbed about 59 floors! My thighs were cramping so much that I had to stretch in the nave…
The ghost tour was fun and instructive.
We then headed to Castle Howard where Netflix turned the scenes between Simon and Daphne in the Duke’s hous in Bridgerton season one. It was splendid and impressive!
Once back in London we visited Hampton Court Palace (Henry VIII’s palace) and bushy park.
And we bought lots of books of course!
Here are some pictures below.

That’s it for today!
Now I have to write some review LOL
Sophie

Sounds lovely, and yes, one must always buy books whilst traveling!
It’s a must Kimberly!
You’re so lucky you got to go to Castle Howard! But of course I’m mostly interested in the ghost tour Have a great week, Sophie!
The ghost tour was fun! You would have loved it Tammy!
Oh my goodness Hampton Court and Howard Castle are so gorgeous! I love visiting historic homes and castles! Hope review writing goes well!
It went well but I have yet to publish most of them LOL
Looks like a wonderful get away. Have fun setting up your new space!
