Today is Sunday, time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week in and out of the blog. As usual I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberlyย @caffeinatedreviewerย .

In my private lifeย  first

We are still in lockdown so my house is my universe right now.

But I had a breath of fresh air as my daughter’s godmother, whom I haden’t seen in one year and a half, came to walk with me and enjoy our very sunny time!

It was so great to walk in the nature, without mask as we kept our distance, and talk, talk, talk and talk some more!

Funny how we don’t realize that a simple social contact is a so important!

Now, just to make you laugh (hopefully), I made two more reels on Instagram.

One to explain that we are never too old to read YA books.

And the second to explain why book boyfriends are the best and ….launch our blog tour!

I hope you enjoyed ๐Ÿ˜‰

Last but not least, have you seen the Shadow and Bones trailer?? It gave me chills!! I can’t wait for April!

Well, I got my mojo back to write reviews!

I just wanted to read and read and read, hence not many posts two weeks ago and no Sunday post. But then I finally wrote my reviews and here you go!

.Eastern Lights by Brittainy C Cherry was moving and has the most amazing book boyfriend!

The Thing we Leave Unfinished by Rebecca Yarros is a blend of historical and contemporary fiction!

.

Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco was an amazing ending to an outstanding series! Big crush for me!

.

And Crave by Tracy Wolff was a guilty pleasure but such a nice suprise!!

On the Top Ten Tuesday we talked about books that made me laugh out loud!

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. Your reels were hilarious! ๐Ÿ˜€
The past year definitely made me appreciate the small social contacts so much more! They really make so much difference.
The Shadow and Bone trailer looks amazing, I can’t wait!

  2. You’ve had some amazing reads lately! Seeing that Shadow & Bone trailer makes me realize how little I remember from the book. LOL But the casting for The Darkling… I highly approve! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Glad you had such a wonderful day in the sun, Sophie! I say you’re never to old to read YA – sooo many good books. And that trailer – I’m so excited!

  4. A nice walk in springtime weather – and in the company of a friend – can indeed perform miracles for our minds and souls! Let’s hope this was only the first in a long string of similarly enjoyable outings! ๐Ÿ™‚

And yes, I’ve seen the Shadow and Bone trailer and despite my wariness toward YA I’m eager to see what they did with this promising story.

  5. Our weather was nice this weekend but I was so tired from work that I made the most of lockdown and didn’t feel guilty for not going out! It is over 2 miles to my work so I feel like I get lots of walking in during the week. I’m just looking forward to it getting warmer so I can sit in my garden!

  6. The US is now pushing things to open, and this week my kids will actually go back to school for in-person learning! Hybrid only for now, but it’s a start…the poor little ones need some social interaction! Private schools have actually been open this entire time with no issues, so I’m pretty confident the public schools can handle it too. I’m just also excited to have some quiet time again while I work at home ๐Ÿ˜›

  7. Hey Sophie! Nice IG work. ๐Ÿ™‚ And yes lockdown is getting old huh? Let’s hope there’s light at the end of the tunnel now.

    Take care this week!

  8. A year and a half is a long time between visits. That’s wonderful you got some time with your friend. My daughter was very excited about the Shadow and Bone trailer. She loves the books.
