Hi friends,
Today in top 5 Tuesday, like the past two weeks, Shanah @bionicbookworm wants us to give you our top 5 authors with their names beginning with the letters U to Z. That can be a first name or last name.
This is the last week for that challenge.Â
Last week I shocked Shanah in posting early so I thought that today I’ll spare the woman! I don’t want her to die from a heart attack 😀Â
I tweaked the challenge and decided to choose teams and pitch them agains each other!
Each team has romance or woman’s fiction authors as well as YA author. They all share the same first letter in their first name (or name if I can’t find one). From two to three, max four authors. I have read them all! I will also try to imagine the kind of story these authors could write!
By the end of the post, you comment with your winning team!
I confess that this week I didn’t find any author for the letters U and X !!!!
Let’s the battle begin!
Team V will see Vi Keeland working hand in hand with Tabatha Vargo, V.e. Schwabz and Veronica Roth!
I forsee a dystopian story in a dark magical world filled with sarcastic and hot alpha and an alluring villain/anti hero!
Team W I pair Erin Watt with Nicole Williams and Kiersten White.
Strong “I don’t give a fig” heroine coming your way! She will face a bunch of brothers or high school mean boys and will hold her ground. She should be a female alpha and I would be all “Take that! Atta girl!” 😀Â
Team Y: Samantha Young would work with Rebecca Yarros and Rick Yancey.
OK that would be a strange mix of ugly cry sob story with hot aliens who would probably heal a broken human girl. The danger? She would die by the end, saving everyone else. Yeah, nope! I’ll pass! 😀Â
Team Z Mariana Zapata with Jeff Zentner!
Ready for a slow burn story with weird geeky characters? Probably a nerd and a jock?
I did it! So what team would you choose? And do you have authors for the letters U and X??
Thanks for reading!
Sophie
Ain’t nobody beating Schwab’s team here!!! 😀
Agreed!
I haven’t read too many of these authors so I’ll go with what I know and say Team V!!! Fun challenge Sophie!
V for Vi? Lol And thank you Trisy!
Definitely Team V! Both V.E. Schwab and Veronica Roth are great author’s with very creative minds. I’ve never read Vi Keeland’s book but I heard good things about her romances.
Agreed Raven!
somehow I haven’t read a single one of your picks – but I really like the cover arts!
Bwahaha well from book cover junkie to book cover junkie I understand!
For me, TSK wins many battles. That book was such an experience for me. I may break out in tears just from thinking about it.
I completely agree with you Sam!
Another hard round! But I have to go with my queen: Mariana Zapata’s team! Slow burn is totally my first choice – love the anticipation
She is the queen of slow burn Vicki!!!
See, most people would be struggling to find one, nevermind two authors beginning with these letters. You go ahead and create a whole team. :’) This is what I love about you Sophie! You’re not just creative, you’re dedicated. And I would have to go with Team Y because it’s the only team with a book I know anything about, haha.
My thank you Sha!!!
You really do enjoy making these as difficult as possible, don’t you? LOL I remain torn between Team V (love me some Vi Keeland) and Team Y (because Rebecca Yarros!). Too hard to choose!
Of course I love torturing you Tanya!!
Nice choices. I haven’t read many of these authors, but I like team V a lot.
V is perfect!
🙂
