Hi friends,

Today is Sunday, time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week in and out of the blog. As usual I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly @caffeinatedreviewer .

First I want to say sorry if I didn’t reply to your comment (but I should have visited and commented on your blog) but since two months ago I think, Jetpack changed something and I can’t answer from the post self. I have to go to my dashboard to reply and my reply get inserted between other comments. Result: I don’t know which comment I replied to and which I am still to answer! I try to be exhaustive but it’s possible that I missed some! But please do comment! It always makes me happy and I do my best to visit and comment back.

In my private life

My daughter is back home since one  week and so far so good! We will cross all our fingers and toes that it stays like that! We are extra careful to avoid making noises, tiptoeing and all!

Still working from home as I’ve sais that’s what I’ll do since end August but it was a short week of two days! Yay!

I took that free time to read, even if I realized today that I haven’t posted a single review this week! But four reviews are already scheduled for next week so there’s that!

I also “repped” my ass of from Beacon Book Box and The Story Gift on Instagram. I am still waiting for my free box to arrive as COVID has completely disrupted the shipping but as I want to still be a good rep, it pushes me to get creative in my pictures and use phtotshop. See the picture below.

And I also have been chosen to represent another company @bookbookowl !

Jen designs amazing bookmarks and I can’t wait to show them on my feed!

Talking about being rep for companies, I don’t do it for the free goods only. I think hard before entering a rep search and ask if their product match my feed, my personality. Show what I love and who I am. And I think that also works for the company as it means we are a good match with the same values, the same interest and aesthetic.

I have been asked to rep for a watch company for example or a fitness company but I turned them down as it made zero sense to me. I have a bookstagram account guys! Plus I am picky about the aesthetic. It has to be something that’s talking to me. Something I am in love with and be very happy to promote because I believe in the product.

And last personal info: I told you that I had been lazy at blogging but crazy funko popping LOL That’s because yesterday I finished my newest funko!

Meet Hunt Athalar, badass angel from Crescent City by Sarah J Maas!

Expect a tutorial on how to make that little guy in the coming week!

  1. I am glad things are still going well with the family at home and with work. And yay for enjoying the long weekend and having some time to read! I always love your book spiral pictures so much <3

  2. Well, let’s see…congrats on all of your Bookstagram success, you know I adore you! Hunt’s Funko? Need one!! I’m about to sign up for the heroine post, sounds like fun! Now, I’m about to go shopping for NEW bookmarks!! Xoxox

  3. Congrats! Your photos are always amazing.

I’m having issues with WordPress too, the reader. It gets so far down and then just stops so I cant see any more posts, so frustrating!

  4. Arh, that’s awful when something like that breaks!
thankfully nothing blog targetted, but my computer refuses to play my sims 4 properly, which makes it freeze my whole computer and it’s driving me MAD xD so I feel ya with this wierd wordpress thing — hopefully you can find a fix soon!

omg this funko you made is gorgeous!! I specially love the wings on it!

  5. You are always doing so many cool things. It’s great to hear you are only repping products you really like. We continue to stay home even as some things open. I really want to read the new Sarah J. Maas but I think it will be on audio.

Have a great week and happy reading!

  6. Glad the repping is going so well – and your pic is fabulous – love the book spiral with the birds… I am glad the situation at home is still going reasonably well. It’s a hard business for all ages, but particularly for youngsters who’d rather be away from home, learning to be independent… I think your attitude towards repping makes a lot of sense and ensure integrity, too. Take care and I hope you have a great week:)

  7. That sounds unhandy how you have to reply to your dashboard, sounds almost like a bug. I actually have used a plugin in the past comment not replied to or something it was called and you can use it to see in your dashboard to which comments you haven’t replied, maybe that would be a solution?

I don’t know much about being a rep for companies as I don’t really do bookstagram and only have an account for my tour company, but I do think your attitude towards it sound like a good one with how you only rep for companies you like.

I hope you have a great week and stay safe!

  8. That’s awesome that you are generating so much interest in your bookstagramming skills. I really respect that you are looking for something that’s “you” and not just taking any and all opportunities.

  9. The commenting system can be so stressful and that sounds like so much work. Hope you get it all figured out. Hope things with your daughter being home will smooth out. Walking on eggshells is no fun for sure. It really sucks how COVID has disrupted shipping so much, although it is slowly getting better.

    Have a great week

  10. That funko is super cool! I still haven’t read Crescent City but I’m almost ready to read it… Just want to finish American Demon by Kim Harrison first! 🙂

I like how selective you’re being with your influencer partnerships. Your photos are so pretty!

  11. Blog problems are so frustrating. Hope you get yours sorted soon.

Love your photoshopped book photo! Happy reading, Sophie! 🙂

  12. Oh no commenting woes are no fun. Glad your daughter is home though- I bet you’re having good family time together. Lol about tiptoeing!

That is a seriously awesome book tower. wow! :):)

  13. I’m glad I’m not the only one who was lazy at blogging last week, lol. Your new funko looks so cool. Now I need to hurry up and read that book to meet this character.

  14. Hey, Sophie, lovely to see you getting recognition for all your hard work with these companies you now rep. And yes, like you, I would only want to endorse companies that I liked. And love, love your instagram stuff, always so amazed at what you do. Meanwhile enjoy the rest while you can, and hope your daughter is getting lots of quiet to study.

By the way, I cannot Like anything on your blog at the moment, is this something to do with wordpress?
