Hi friends,

Today’s topic in  Top 5 Tuesday meme hosted by Shanah’s @bionicbookworm is Top 5 authors I’d like to meet.

If you are following me you already know that two weekends ago my dream came true: I met my unicorn authors or at least a good bunch of them at RARE London!!!!!

My favorite adult romance authors that I met there were Suanne Laqueur, Emma Scott, Amy Harmon, Jane Harvey Berrick, Jaimie Roberts and Meredith A. Walters!

An author I’ve met at that time that I didn’t know but that’s now became one of my favorite too: Kate Sterrit!

So today I’d like to introduce you to three of my remaining adult romance authors I dream to meet and then some of my YA unicorn authors.

So my adult romance authors first:

Leylah Attar author of The Paper Swan, Mists of the Serengeti, etc.

Beth Flynn author of the Nine Minutes series

Brittainy C Cherry with too many fantastic books to cite them all (look at her on this blog)

My Young Adult unicorn authors are:

Cassandra Clare with her Mortal Instruments series, Infernal Devices series and The Dark Artifices series (probably my favourite so far).

Holly Black that I got to know with The Coldest Girl in Coldtown and recently read and adored The Cruel Prince

Renee Ahdieh and her so poetic writing!

Sarah J. Maas and her Throne of Glass series, A Court of Thorn and Roses series. Fantastic story teller!

Of course I could not end this list without...JK Rowling! She is a genius! I love Harry Potter. It’s imaginative, unique, fresh and evolved with teh character’s aging.

So that’s it for today!

Do we share some of them? Who are you unicorn authors?

Thanks for reading and happy Tuesday!

Sophie

  1. The one author I want to meet before I die is Leylah. She’s everything♥♥♥
I might be slightly obsessed with her lol

    1. Leylah? OK we’ll travel together Ari! Meet somewhere at an airport in Europe and go together to Canada. Deal?

  2. I have so many fave authors, I couldn’t possibly name them all, LOL! But a few…JR Ward, Abbie Roads, Hettie Ivers, Kristen Ashley, Nicole Edwards…and on and on!!

  3. The biggest author I met was bestselling author Mary Higgins Clark. It was at a library conference in NYC and I swear I almost passed out. Speaking of, if I ever met J.K., or Stephen King I know I’d be on the floor! All your YA authors are on my list Sophie.

    1. Oh you raised the bar high Kim! Mary Higgins Clark is an institution! Now wonder you nearly passed out 😉

  4. Unicorn authors – I giggled for the longest time when I saw that! It’s so true to call them unicorn authors. They’re majestic and elusive……. and I’ll probably never see one! LOL!!!
Thanks so much for participating – added you to the list 🙂
