Happy Tuesday friends!
This is day 22 of our Best Reads of 2020! Only two more days and we’ll be at Christmas Eve!
I know I have a lot to catch up with but today was my last day at work before a break and I ahd more than 800 mails to read and clean!
Today in our #Best ReadsOf2020 we are featuring our best debut novel read this year!
I have two favorites for you:
💦 The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary
I first read the Switch and was so enamored that I went back and read her first work The Flatshare!
This story relies heavily on its amazing characters. Tiffy and Leon are like the sun and the moon. Leon would be the moon and he is feeling SO MUCH!
Beth delivers charming and smart stories. With the help of quirky characters, she makes you think about serious topics like abuse and death all with a keen eye for human nature, its flaws and extraordinary resilience too.
You will laugh. You will swoon. You will cry. You will rage too. But above all else, you will root for Tiffy and Leon’s love story.
💦 Thorn by Intisar Khanani
I chose to listen to the audiobook . Listening to that slow/steady paced story felt soothing, compelling and magical. A unique tale that I recommend wholeheartedly if you are looking for something different from the fast paced and action-packed magical stories.
“Which of us has not made mistakes when faced with more than we can handle?” ― Intisar Khanani, Thorn
