Hi dear friends!
Today I wanted to write something different as there is all a fuss about The Hate U Give being made into a movie!
Honestly I am really excited too!
I loved The Hate U Give and think it’s a powerful book that everyone should read.
If you are interested you can read my review below (click on the graphic).
But when books are made into movies, it’s always a “hit or miss” so I was wondering what are the odds for this one ….
If you want to play with me I will give you some clues to work with 😀
First clue is an interview of Angie Thomas on what it feels to be behind the scene, on set! Man I would love being on set one day just to experience the rush!
Â
Second clue is the official book trailer
Pfew! This trailer gave me thrills!
I predict as good as the book if not more! Daring? Maybe but meet me when you’ll have seen it 😉
Now what do you think? As good? More? Less?
Thanks for reading!
Jeez.. when I first watched the trailer i got goosebumps.. It’s hard not to have and it made me buy the physical copy of the book. But i’m embarrassed to say, i still haven’t gotten round to read it.
Yep shame on me. 🙂
I am definitely rooting for this movie and can’t wait to see it. I also think that this would be a pretty good adaptation 🙂
Me too Sim!
I haven’t read this book yet but yeah the movie trailer looks pretty good so I really hope it’s going to be a hit.
Me too Raven and you should read it. Seriously.
I’m pretty pumped fir this movie and the trailer makes me believe that this movie is going to be a HUGE hit. Honestly I’ve watched this trailer so many times but it never fails to make me cry and gives me such major goosebumps! I can’t wait to see this movie as soon as it hits the theatres!
Same here Charvi!!!! Let’s hope it meets our expectations 😉
I’m in the middle of reading the book and I HOPE the movie is good! I’m more excited for more black/POC YA on my big screen, so even if it’s not very good, at least there’s that to be proud of! 🙂 Plus I LOVEEE Amandla Stenberg And will pretty much watch anything with them in it lol.
Hahahaha Danielle I hope you love the book! And I can’t wait to watch this movie ;-))
I haven’t read this one Sophie but it seems books are always better than the movies…
yes that’s usually my opinion
I feel like this book has the potential to work really well as a movie. So I think I’m with you on this one. I guess we’ll find out!
And then we’ll chat about the movie Nicole 😉
I have the book on my wish list but never got around to getting it. Better hurry now that the movie is being made! I like reading books before the films.
Me too Laura! Not the other way. Happy reading then.
I haven’t read this one, but hope the movie does it justice, as there is nothing worse than TV or a movie destroying a book.
Oh yes Alexandra don’t I know it! The Mortal Instruments and Vampire Academy were awful!
