#BookCoupleChallenge Day 1
Ok here I am again following these creative ladies: Bex at Night Owl Reader Romance Book Reviews and the ladies at Collector of Book Boyfriends in their monthly challenge.
You may remember the September challenge about book boyfriends. I had a blast but being the overachiever that I am I wrote nearly whole post every day and it was much work at the end of the month. I was really happy to have taken part in the challenge but needed a break for October.
Now, …Angelica from Collector Of Book Boyfriends was very persuasive and the November theme was inspiring (Book couples) and… here I am now.
So let’s begin this first day with age gap in couples.
Again several contenders (three today) and one winner.
Tor and Kenzi in Torn by Carian Cole
He is older than Kenzi by 15 years
What I wrote about the connection between Tor and Kenzi.
“She was the center of his world from the first instant, he did so many sweet things to make her happy. He dried her tears, he gave her a bunny, rescued her from prom night gone bad,… He was her hero, he was her “uncle” without blood ties, her friend and later…The taboo.
They want to be together but Tor fought his feelings so hard! “
Synopsis:
** Please note: there is NO underage sex in this book. There is NO incest or blood relation in this book. This is NOT an MC Club story. This is NOT erotica. This is a slow burn romance. This book is intended for readers 18 years and older **
He’s loved me since the day I was born.
He’s taken care of me.
He’s awakened me.
Tor. My father’s best friend.
Fifteen years older than me, he’s always been my protector.
The one I should never, ever want.
But I was born to be his.
She’s always loved me.
She’s shattered me.
She’s healed me.
Kenzi. My best friend’s daughter.
I held her the day she was born, and I never let go.
She’s forbidden to me. But she’s the only one that really gets me.
We’re slowly being torn apart by everything we love.
Everything we want.
Everything we desire.
And now I want the one thing I can’t have… I want her.
Favorite quote:
“When I look at you, I don’t see my father’s friend, or my uncle, or my godfather, or an older man. All I see is the person I’ve always loved and has always made me happy. That’s it. I just see you.”

Anthony “Tony” Rawling is older than Claire. Consequences by Aleatha Romig
Yes again!
I luuurved that book and especially that twisted but oh so charismatic Tony!
Synopsis (again LOL)
Every action has consequences.
Waking in an unfamiliar bedroom in a luxurious mansion, Claire Nichols is terrified to discover that a chance encounter led her into the cruel hands of her abductor, Anthony Rawlings. Claire has no understanding of why she’s there, but it’s been made abundantly clear—she is now his acquisition and every action has consequences.
Learn the rules to survive.
Facing incomprehensible circumstances, Claire must learn to survive her new reality—every aspect of her livelihood depends upon the tall, dark-eyed tycoon who is a true master of deception. Driven by unknown demons, he has no tolerance for imperfection, in any aspect of his life, including his recent acquisition. Anthony may appear to the world as a handsome, benevolent businessman, but in reality Claire knows firsthand that he’s a menacing, controlling captor with very strict rules: do as you’re told, public failure is not an option, and appearances are of the utmost importance.
Captivate the captor.
To fit together the pieces of the puzzle, Claire must follow his rules. Will her plan work, or will Anthony become enthralled by Claire’s beauty, resilience, and determination, changing the game forever? If that happens, will either of them survive the consequences?
Nobody ever did or ever will escape the consequences of his choices.—Alfred A. Montapert
Quote:
“He spoke again as if he hadn’t just shattered his promise and her security. Her house of glass now lay in a pile of shards.”

Ryan Chase and Shea Michaels in Bite & Release by Cory Cyr. My winners!
I loved this book especially as the age gap happens with a woman 13 year older than the man!
Ryan Chase will fight against her attraction for Shea Michaels. Mind you she used to babysit him!
Synopsis:
Ryan Chase left Fairbanks, Alaska, when she was 21 years old to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. Somewhere along the way her dreams of stardom crashed and burned, along with her life.
Thirteen years later she is forced to return to Fairbanks because her unforgiving and emotionally-distant father has suddenly died. Ryan seizes the opportunity to not only escape her abusive husband but to be able to attend her best friend’s wedding. What could go wrong? It’s only Fairbanks, Alaska…
While wishing she was anywhere but her father’s funeral and wake, Ryan is struck senseless by a stunning, drop-dead gorgeous man. Her thoughts turn carnal and she desperately wants to know him in every way—and position—possible. There’s only one problem…
He’s the devil’s spawn.
He’s the one who marked her for life.
He’s the kid she used to baby-sit.
And he’s hotter than hell!
Shea Michaels has loved Ryan Chase for most of his life. After surviving an unspeakable childhood, he became a man of whom she could be proud …if she ever came back.
Now that she’s returned, Shea pursues her with a vengeance, undaunted by the thirteen year age difference that Ryan uses as the shield between them.
Confusion, guilt and lust bombard Ryan as she battles the memories of the little boy she used to know while still being drawn to the heart-stopping man he has become.
***18+ due to explicit sexual situations, graphic language and intense adult themes.
Two quotes for your eyes only and because this one is my winner today (cougar? Who, Me? Noooo)
“I’m not only smart and mature but also hot, great in bed, and kind of a good guy. Baby, I#m so the total package.”
― Cory Cyr, Bite & Release“Ryan, I’m not a child and I don’t give a damn about the age difference, just let me make you come, let me be the one to give you pleasure. Allow me to do that, because you need it . . . and I want it.”

Now have you read these books? What are your favorite couples age gap wise?
Thanks for reading!
Awesome! I haven’t read ANY of these books yet but the age gap romance is one of my favorite tropes so I’ll put them on my TBR!
Can’t wait to read your posts everyday. Congrats in advance. I really wanted to try one of these challenges but I don’t think I can do a post everyday.
Thank you Mia! And yes it’s a lot of work if you do it like me but Bex and Angelica go for the lighter route and that’s really good too.
