First Line Fridays is a weekly meme hosted by Hoarding Books.

It’s really easy to participate (why do you think I’m doing this duh! 😉 ) all you have to do is take the book you are currently reading and type the first lines. This is my second Friday and I hope to make it a daily occurence!

This Friday I wanted to give you the first lines of Midnight Blue by LJ Shen but Trisy at Bobobooksbank beat me to it! 😉

So instead I will give you my favorite quote of the book.

Enjoy!

Now what are the first lines of your current read? Leave them in a comment below.

As it’s getting really late here and I had a very hard week at work I will comment on all your posts (First Lines Friday + blogs I usually follow) tomorrow morning (European standards). Promise!

Happy Friday!

Sophie

  1. Mine for today are from “S.T.A.G.S.”, by M.A. Bennett

    “I think I might be a murderer.”

“Although, as I didn’t mean to kill, I suppose it would be manslaughter, so technically I would be a ‘manslaughterer,’ although I don’t think that’s a word.”

  2. Those are some interesting lines! Very blunt!

My first line Friday comes from: The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch.

“She had been warned she would see things her mind wouldn’t understand.”

How can you not be intrigued with an opener like that, am I right??

  3. Happy Friday!

Today, my First Line Friday comes from the next book on my TBR mountain, Coming Home to Island House by Erica James…..

There she is, the scarlet woman herself.’
    ‘She’s back then.’
‘Back to flaunt herself right under our noses. She’s no shame, that one.’
    ‘No shame at all.’

    Have a great weekend!
