Hi friends,
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s theme is: Authors You Wish Were Still Writing Today (These could be authors who have passed away or retired/are taking a long hiatus from writing.
Here is my list. Some wrote one book and nothing more (while I fell in love with said book) and others wrote whole series but have been silent for several years now!
Bryn Greenwood (I loved her books!), Margaret Rogerson (but she is rumored to publish another one ?), Catherine Allred (they were SO romantic).
CV Wyk (I never got the sequel!), Bonnie Garmus (I adored Lessons in Chemistry) and CC Hunter.
Tabitha Suzuma (her books destroyed me), Sophie Kinsella (RIP) and Nicole Williams.
And one favorite who hasn’t written in more than two years: Amy Harmon!

Yes, whatever did happen to Rogerson! I loved her book!
I am not counting Garmus out since it took her until after the age of 60 to give us Lessons. Kinsella, I cannot stop getting weepy about her.I didn’t realize Williams hasn’t published in a while.
And I just learned that she will publish a new book Sam!

We are definitely due for some more Margaret Rogerson. I will be preordering in the future.

I haven’t thought about Sophie Kinsella in a long time! It’s amazing how many authors I love haven’t written books recently, maybe I should have done a list too!
I was very sad to learn of her passing away!
I skipped this week’s TTT but man I could write such a long list of authors I wish were still writing!
