Hi friends,
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s theme is: Bookish Memories
This could have been a trip down to memory lane with souvenirs from my childhood reading. And yes, one of my earliest memories invilving books was me on my “child loo” (petit pot in French, where kids are trained “to go potty”) with a book opened on my knees while my dad was doing just that (out of prying eyes and behind a closed doorof course) into the “big loo”. It was his “ritual” when he came back home after work 🙂
I just wanted to imitate dady! TMI? Well maybe but that’s my earliest memory with books!
But while blog hopping today, I found Lindsey from Lindsey Reads ‘s interpretation of today’s topic very interesting! She chose to give us her ten favorite books of these last years!
As I always love a good recommendation list, I have dicided to do the same!
Warning: the year 2021 is not in these books and I went back to 2014 “only”.

What’s interesting is that I have difficulties to narrow down to ten books for 2021 but it was easier for older years. Maybe time makes it easy to discern the books that linger and leave a lasting impression?
What’s also very interesting is that on ten books, five are LGBTQ! I don’t read 50% LGBTQ but it seems that these are the ones that I enjoy the most and that live a long time in my mind!
Thanks for reading.
Sophie

The Reckless Oath We Made was such a phenomenal story. And I still need to read Wolfsong!
I had a good little laugh at your petit pot story! Thanks for sharing that, it made my day! 😛
The House in the Cerulean Sea and The Huntress are favorites of mine too. 🙂
Wolfsong is just an amazing read right? I believe it was your review that got me to read that book finally. I truly love seeing your favorites here
Oooh if it was my review that made you read it I am so happy Renee!
Sorcery of Thorns is on my TBR but I have not menaged to read it yet! I hope to get to it next year!

I am shocked I have only read one of these, though I am STILL waiting for my hold for Klune’s book to come through. This was. a hard task you completed, so gold star, and your potty story is adorable.
