I’m finally able to make room for this easy and fun meme I’ve wanted to try for weeks now when I saw the weekly post of my friend Tijuana @TJ Loves Books
WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words
There are three simple questions to answer when it comes to WWW Wednesday:
What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?
Simple and perfect for all busy bees like me!
What am I currently reading?
I’m currently reading The Hard Truth About Sunshine by Sawyer Bennett.
I requested this ARC based on the blurb that said: “New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett has written her most gripping and poignant tale yet. Provocatively heart-breaking, audaciously irreverent and romantically fulfilling, The Hard Truth About Sunshine exposes just how very thin the line is between a full life and an empty existence.
An angry, bitter amputee.
An optimist losing her eyesight.
A dying kid.
A suicidal thief.
Four people with nothing in common but their destination. ”
Well there is more to the blurb you’ll just have to go to Goodreads if you want more or wait for my review. Just know that I’m nearly finished and I love it! I’ve read another book by Sawyer Bennett just real hot stuff and that’s true this one is not her usual story but it gets feelings by buckets! Prepare your tissues. The characters are all broken, life has taken its toll on them but the bonds they’re creating are strong and beautiful! As Christopher is an amputee and fromer military, I keep hearing the song from Five Fingers Death Punch (click to listen): The Wrong Side of Heaven. Prepare to be moved and shaken!
What did you recently finished?
I recently finished something VERY adult (lots of sex and violence) VERY twisted and dark but also VERY unputdownable. Possession by Jaimie Roberts. You can find my review there.
Just know this is not for the faint hearted (I nearly threw up in my mouth) but if you’re a lover of dark twisted romance this is your next fix!
What do you think you’ll read next?
Well I think I’ll need something lighthearted and fun. Usually, Piper Lawson’s books fit the bill. They’re easy to read with great banter, have likeable characters and some angst but not too much. They’re like eating your favorite ice cream: delicious! As I’ve got the ARC of her latest novel: Styled I’ll dive in right after my last book’s review. I loved the first two books in this series too much to wait any longer.
And you, what have you finished? What are you reading? And what will your next read be?
