Hi friends,

I love when books surprise me and give me big plot twists! And today in our Best Reads of 2020 I get to show you the books who surprised me in a big way!

It will be a short post as all these plot twists I’ll feature happened at the end of the book and I don’t want to give away any spoiler.

First to win the title is King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

Talk of a major plot twist at the end! I don’t know in fact if I like that turn of event but it certainly will be interesting to read what happens next!

Second: A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L Armentrout

The plot twists in this series are many! Some I had guessed others not at all!

I read these in a book club read and I confessed that I was not even sure I had understood everything by the end of book two 😆

Third today is A deadly Education by Naomi Novik

That book ends on a major cliffy that’s a huge plot twist! Galadriel gets a note from her mom and I was all:” What??? Why??? What does she mean by that?” That one was my first read by this author but it won’t be my last!

OK now it’s your turn! What book surprised you with its plot twists this year?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. Yes to A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L Armentrout! I also guessed a few of the plot twists but others blew my mind. Text me if you have any questions ♥. Arielle read it a little while back and we went over so many of the parts together. And now Chelsea is reading it so Arielle and I are diving back into that book and re-reading moments here and there to share our thoughts with her.

  2. I looove a good plot twist! Since I don’t actively like to try to figure them out (I just let the story unfold) I’m almost always surprised. Can’t wait to experience the twist in Kingdom of Flesh and Fire myself.

  3. I love plot twists (as long as they are done well of course haha)
I really want to read A Deadly Education, and I’ve been getting very curious to Blood and Ash!
