Today is Sunday, time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week in and out of the blog. As usual I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
We are still working from home (mind you it’s been more than 13 months now!) but things are slowly reopening in Belgium.
As from last weekend, terrasse are opened again but no eating inside of a restaurant. And the tables and chairs must be at least 1,5 meters apart.
The mask is of course still mandatory in every building or on busy streets and the amount of people we can see without a mask is still very small.
But we are finally making some progress with our vaccination campaign!
I got my first shot one week and a half ago! I got the Moderna vaccine, working according to the same “fasion” as the Pfizer: with RNA.
My husband got his shot with the same vaccine the day after.
I had no reaction except for a sore arm for 48 hours while my husband had all the flu symptoms except the fever. He had to take a sick day the day after.
In two weeks and a half, I’ll get my second dose and will be fully protected! Pfew! I can’t wait!
Another great news was that my fitness club reopened on the weekends only to give outdoors classes AND aquagym classes (in the pool of course)!
Needless to say that I rushed back there, especially as we can only be nine in the pool (compared to the 22 last year under semi lockdown).
Yesterday was my first aquaboxing class in seven months!!!! The coach was a real sadist yesterday and we did a very intense cardio workout!
I realized how much at nearly 51 you have to work harder to get back your muscles and stamina 😆
But it was GLORIOUS to feel all these muscles finally working!
As I haven’t posted since two weeks, I also made two more funko pops as I fell in love with the Caraval series that I binge read in one week!
You can admire below Scarlett and Tella!
And I made two more fun reels on Instagram
The first one is to show what readers do to stay fit in lockdown...

The second is why you should fear readers and never underestimate them!

I have somehow read 8 books in two weeks! Even if only six books are reviewed here! One of them is from a brand new author, Marissa J Gramoll and she totally surprised me!
.
Thanks for reading!
Sophie
I’m so happy to hear that both you and your hubby are almost fully vaccinated! And oh my goodness, those Caraval Funko pops are precious. Funko should hire you to design their dolls. 🙂
Bwahaha thank you Suzanne!
Yay for getting your first dose! A sore arm was also my only side effect, and not even that with the second dose. So glad things are starting to open up for you, Sophie!
Thank you Teri!
Getting that first shot of the vaccine does indeed give you a giddy feeling that things are finally going the right way. Like you, I’m more than looking forward to the second shot and the possibility of living a more normal life… 🙂
Congrats on your vaccine, I got Moderna too In the US we are shocked that the CDC said people who are fully vaccinated don’t have to wear masks anymore
I have heard tammy! I would be shocked too!
Congratx on the vaccine! We ate out at a socially disanced outdoor patio and it was nice, if a bit cold. It’s nice to be able to go places again- things are opening up quite a bit here although I’m still gonna be cautious and wear my mask!
Aquaboxng!! Yikes. :)))):))
I think I would still wear my mask too Greg! That would be so weird otherwise!
I am so happy you are getting vaccinated and able to do a bit more.
Yay for vaccine! And yay for aquaboxing! Hope you have another awesome week!
Thank you Samantha! And..today must be your last day!!!
Congrats on getting the jab! I received mine last week, as well, and had the same side effects as you did. I love your IG videos- they’re awesome!
Thank you Jacquie!
Congratulations on you getting your first jab Sophie!I’m sorry your husband had the side effects. It’s definitely worth it though. I love your funko pops, and your book workout had me in stitches!
Thank you Kim!!! Are you on Instagram too? Because if I don’t follow you yet I’d love to!
I’m not. I’ve slashed all my social media to just my blog.
Such good news all around! Sorry to hear your husband suffered some side effects from the vaccine. It’s amazing how different the experience is for everyone. Your funkos are beautiful too!
Thank you Sam! And yes having good news was a nice change!
Congrats on getting your first vaccine! And I love those funko pops. They’re both beautiful!
Thank you Kristi!
You’re welcome!
