Hi friends,
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s theme is a freebie and I chose: favorite books I have then pushed on my kids!
By now you must know that French speaking me is doing all my reads in English.
And that I read romance but also a lot of YA!
As a true booknerd, I love recommending and buying books for others aaaaand…especially to my kids!
I am lucky that, having read them bedtime stories, gushed about books etc they became avid readers too!
That’s why when I read some YA book that I truly adored, I then bought them in French to gift my kids!
Now they are older and follow mom’s foosteps and read in English so we just share books 😉
So here are ten of my favorite reads that I bought for them and…they became instant hits!
Sebastian Rhysand
But my kids also love recommending books so it goes both ways and here is a bonus for you!
Books that my daughter recommended me and that I finally read this year…and fell madly in love with them:
And a series that my son insists on me having to read and that I will read in January because…buddy read!

That’s it! Thanks for reading!
Sophie

How absolutely amazing that they read the books you recommend and then you loved the books your daughter did too! Aww I love it! Obsidian and Angelfall will always have a special place in my heart ♥.
It’s awesome that your kids are readers! I hope my Baby Brooklyn grows up loving books. There are so many I want to share with her. By the time she’s old enough to read them, they’ll probably feel ancient and dated, so she’ll just roll her eyes at me. 🙂
Or they’ll be classics AJ!
Good job, mom! I’ve read a few out of these too. 😀
Thank you Stephanie! :-))
I have actually read a lot of those book, but it was the reverse — my kid pushed them on me.
:-))))))))
That bookish back-and-forth between you and your kids is wonderful 🙂
I know!!! 🙂
YES TO VAMPIRE ACADEMY AND LEGEND!! The OGs
Right???
That’s so nice that your kids enjoy the same books as you. And Red Rising is AMAZING!
Then I’ll have a great time Tammy!
I love that you share your love of reading with your kids… and they with you! So many good ones up there. You know I love my Daemon Black. 🙂
I know Tanya! :-))
