Hi dear friends,
It’s Sunday again! The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer.
Time to look back on my week and talk about life events and blog related news.
Personal life first
Last Sunday I had no time to write my wrap-up so maybe you don’t know it yet but next July I’ll attend YALC London with my daughter! We bought the three days pass, booked the train and the hotel all in one go!
The authors line up is being revelaed over several weeks but we already have Alwyn Hamilton (Rebel of the Desert) (I am super excited!) and Dhonielle Clayton author of The Belles. Of course many more will attend!
Bonus: this is also a movie and series convention with attending stars like Ian Somerhalder (and several stars of Vampire Diaries) and Jason Momoa (plus other stars of GOT)!
My son has spent the week away in Corsica with his classmates. He’s done a lot of sports and had a blast. It’s been so quiet at home without him fighting with his sister.
My daughter has landed her first student job ever! It’s been confirmed today. She’ll waitress in a tea room ans is super excited! She loves shopping so she needs money to feed her addiction LOL
Now on the blog
I’ve read and reviewed
Honestly my favorite was State of Sorrow. I got this book in my fairyloot box and was really pleasantly surprised. First by the gorgeous cover and second by its unique writing style. It was a 4,5 stars review. Find the review HERE.
I’ve also read but not reviewed on the blog yet Father Figure by James J Cudney 4 (known as Jay) and it was a resounding 5 stars! Review to come later on the blog tour.
I’ve also finished today Intrepid by Keri Lake but my review will come later this week.
As I’m no longer writing daily for a challenge I am back with discussion posts.
Last Saturday I wrote about Social Media a curse or a blessing (click on the picture to read it)
And this Friday I wrote the first post of a two part series about 101 bookstagrams (click on the picture to read).
I finally published about my March Fairyloot unboxing with spoiling anayone’s fun!
I also participated in Top 5 Tuesday and tweaked the theme until I found it was next week’s theme! I guess I’ll have to find 5 more books.
One last news: I got approved for a “wish for it” book on Netgalley!!!!! If you live in the US or Canada it probably does not happen to you or it’s unusual but for us international bloggers it’s more and more common occurence! It means the book is usually only for US or CA readers.
I am so happy as this one that I can’t wait to read!
All the Little Lights by Jamie McGuire.
Other blogger’s post
This week I loved Camilla’s “Reader In The Attic” post about the life of an international blogger.
You can find it here:Â https://readerintheattic.wordpress.com/2018/04/09/international-bookworm-life-of-an-international-blogger/#more-3321
Evelina at Avalinahsbooks also talked about her fears as a blogger. Find her post here: http://avalinahsbooks.space/book-blogger-fears/
That’s is for this week!
Have a fantastic Sunday!
Let me know what you’ve done this week in the comments.
Thanks for reading.
Omg, doggie is adorable! <3
Yeay for going to YALC!
Congrats to your mini me on her job, that’s fantastic! And I might be just a tiny bit jealous that you’ll get to see Ian Somerholder…!!
I promise to post lots of pics if I get the chance to get close 😉
Wow, sounds Amazing! I hope you both have a great time at YALC london! 🙂
Thank you Raven!!
I’m so glad you were approved for a “wish for it” book on NetGalley. International readers deserve to be treated so much better than they are. Hope you have a lovely week!
Thank you so much Alicia! have a lovely week too 😉
YALC London sounds awesome! I love Comic Cons but the ones I have been to just have a couple book booths, nothing like YALC! It looks like a lot of fun!
Congrats on YALC London! Sounds amazing. And I love that cover of All The Little Lights.
Thank you Greg I can’t wait!
Congrats to your daughter—first jobs are always exciting! And I’m very jealous the two of you get to go to YALC! I know that the US has a couple large book-centric cons, but the UK ones never fail to look more fun. Hope y’all have a blast! 🙂
Thank you JJ!!!
Wow! What a great week for you and your family. So many exciting things happened. I’m ready for a week like yours now:)
