Hi dear friends!
Time for a little weekly chit chat about how my week went and what happened on the blog. As usual I will link it up with @CaffeinatedReviewer.
Time to look back on my week and talk about life events and blog related news. This time I will pait it with my monthly wrap-up!
Personal life
Well I’ll be back at work tomorrow so more pressure, less reading and the fight for blogging will resume!
My holiday went by too fast *time flies by when you have fun* and it’s time to go back help my colleagues.
Last week I spent five days in London with my daughter and three of these days were spent attending YALC London for the first time!
You’ll get more details about it in another YALC post. Just know that London was HOT but we managed to have two rainy days * I could not recall what rain was!*.
The men as in my husband and son took care or the dog and had to fend for themselves. I am certain my son did the cooking as he learned to cook *from me since age 8 * while my husband succeed in burning a defrost pizza!
Now his specialty is being the handyman so to each his own…
On a sad note we ran different tests on my dad and he has a tumor in the throat, at the end of the sinuses. He’s had a pet scan days ago and we’ll get all the results on August 14th… wait and see and pray.
On the blog
In July I have read 11 books! I can’t believe it. Most are reviewed and since I’ve already read 3 more books. Click on the graphic to read my review. They are in descending order (5 stars to …)
And my FAVORITE of the month with 6 STARS….
I also published the interview of Jane harvey-Berrick and Stuart Reardon about their new book Model Boyfriend and their writing duet
I participated in the traditional weekly meme: Top 5 Thursday, WWW Wednesday, I Heart Character and First Impression Friday.
Some fun tags this month: I Spy book tag; Bookshelf Book Tag
I decided to go back to writing discussion posts and advice posts as I had more time on my hands.
Posts of the week on the blogosphere
Well this one about Netgalley and ARCs and how they put stress on you as a reader is really enlightening! http://deathbytsundoku.com/wordpress/solving-for-tsundoku-breaking-up-with-netgalley/#comment-7118
Now do tell me all about your week and month!
Happy Sunday and thanks for reading.
I will keep your Dad in my thoughts, as well as you and yours. Yay for raising a son who knows his way in the kitchen. My son (25) is the cook because his girl can’t even boil an egg.
Sorry to hear about your dad struggling. I hope and pray its good news. Waiting is hard. ♥️ You have had an emotional month between your dad and spending with your daughter. All the best to your family!
Thank you so much Dani!!!
The waiting is the worst part, chin up Sophie. Sending prayers your way, hun!

I love London, Sophie, and it sounds like you and your daughter had a fantastic time. I’ll check out your YALC post after this 🙂
You’ve also read a lot of books, and it looks like you enjoyed most of them.
Have a fantastic week (even if you’re back to work…) and happy reading.
Thank you Lexxie!!!!
As far as i remember i’m ok with frozen pizza, but my arch enemy are those roasting vegetable trays… No matter how i follow the instructions, they are either uncooked, or they turn into a complete mush…
Good thing your son can cook, haha 😀
Hahaha yes Norrie and he can sew and iron too 😉
Lovely showcase this week! Sounds like you had some fun too. And I’ll be hoping for good news on your father’s test results.
Thank you so much Laura!
