Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
This week was back to work full force! Not a bad week but a very busy one.
Last Sunday I told you that I was looking to book accomodations in London for YALC in July well I found something!
No Bed and Breakfast as my daughter doe not like lodging at someone’s home but not a hotel either!
I found a studio! In a residence filled with furnished appartments and studios to rent for a day or more. It’s cheaper than a hotel but with more room and a kitchen in it. We’ll be close to Harrods and at a walking distance of many things so that will be perfect!
Next step: booking the train and buying YALC tickets.
Also last Sunday I explained that I found (miracle) a second hand bookshop in my town interested in my English books. Well, they sold all my books in three days and I’ve been back with more this week so I am very happy!
I also told them that I was ready to teach these art classes about book painting so they will be in touch with details and date (probably in Spring as their room is in a covered courtyard).
And as usual, I am leaving you with two reels this week.
One is a collaboration with @mummyisreading and we are giving advices on bookstagram.
And the second is me having fun again and mimicking what I tell my husband when he sees me making fun reels 😉

This week I posted two reviews and the Top Ten Tuesday. Work being busy I didn’t have time for more… But both books were excellent! I have an amazing January month!
That’s it! Neat and tidy LOL.
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

That studio sounds great, it’s always fun when a trip is coming together and there’s something to look forward to 🙂 And yay for the art classes, that sounds like it’ll be an amazing opportunity!
It is Lindsey!
That studio sound perfect. Happy travels!

Thank you!!
I’m convinced you’ll have loads of fun at YALC! I hope everything you’re planning works out. And congrats again on the teaching opportunity! 😀
Thank you Lashaan!
I hear YALC is a blast! Glad you found accommodations and I hope you’ll have a great time at that studio for your trip!
Me too Mogsy!
That studio sounds fantastic for your London trip! And yay for the indie bookstore being able to sell your books so quickly.
Right Suzanne? 😉
I was thinking of doing reels and my kids who are all over TikTok forbade it. Ha
Oh and you guessed my mystery lyric so you are the winner ha ha 🙂
I am glad to be a winner Greg!
All good news this week, Sophie! I know you’ll have a wonderful time and get plenty of books to replace those you gave to the bookstore, lol.
Ha! That’s ironic isn’t it?
I’m glad to see you read some amazing books. That’s so exciting you found a good place for your trip.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thank you Anne!
I am just hoping plane tickets will be going down for my trip to Scotland in July! I’ve got an Airbnb reserved for the start and a hotel room for the last night. Isn’t it fun to look forward to trips like that! I do like Kennedy Ryan, glad you liked that book too! Here’s to a good week ahead!

I really hope you’ll have an amazing time!
Glad you found somewhere….and make sure you visit Harrods!
Oh I will Caro!
That is great you found somewhere perfect to stay! And that is great you are going to teach that art class. So exciting! You had such a fabulous week!
I am so excited Samantha!!
Im glad you’ve found suitable accommodation for your trip.
Lol at your reel 🙂
Wishing you a great reading week
You too Shelleyrae!
Yay for finding a studio apartment instead of a hotel. I did that the 2nd time we went to Paris (1st time we had a hotel) in the same area and saved a lot of money. It was nicer too! Hope you have fun in London. I loved All the Dangerous Things too!
I hope we’ll have a great time too Rachel!
It’s great that you were able to find a place to stay. We usually stay at hotels, but we stayed in a condo a couple years ago. I actually liked it a lot.
I hope I’ll love it too!
Thats a smart idea! i would like to return to the UK in a couple of years, so will keep that in mind. I hope you end up having a blast at YALC! And I LOVE your reels. But its like grandma used to tell us kids, your body grows older but your spirit stays young like a child! You are just keeping him younger haha
That’s what my mom is saying me too!
It’s always wonderful to know our olds books have found new homes. A studio close to Harrods seems a pretty good finding.
Happy readings!
Thank you Tania!
What an exiting week you had, Sophie! Finding the studio in London, your books selling so quickly, and agreeing to the art classes. Hooray for you! I love the reel about your husband’s reaction to your reels. Kudos on using a snippet from Twilight. LOL
Thank you!!! :-)))
Sounds like you had an exciting week Congrats on selling your books and the art classes! And the studio in London sounds perfect.
It does indeed sound perfect Tammy!
I love that your books are getting a new life with another reader. That’s awesome. And great news about the studio for YLAC too. I like going away where someone else cleans and cooks, but I know a lot of people enjoy keeping their routines when they travel.
Well it was more of having enough room this time Sam!
Nice to get a studio that’s less than a hotel and with a kitchen! Enjoy your stay.
Thank you!!
