Hi friends it’s Sunsay! Time to look into the rearview mirror on my week and link up to The Sunday Post @caffeinatedreviewer
In my private life first
I am still struggling to answer comments and blog hop but I am not despairing! I do it my way as in : as soon as I have time and am not dead beat on my feet!
This week has been a week of great news and events!
First I see clearly now! Literally!
Aging sucks as I have explained and my glasses were not appropriate anymore! I felt like my book or computer was “thrown my way” and had to take off my glasses but then was left in the mist to see far away!
Now that I have my brand new glasses with progressive lenses it’s a brand new world in high definition 😀
Second incredible news: after three years of blogging I got my first physical ARC ever! And from Harper UK! So a big publishing house!
Honestly I stopped believing I would get them and just requested as an “unattainable dream”. I never got an answer from the house and one day, this beauty landed in my mailbox!
I can’t wait to dive in!
And third good news: the custom Funko Pop that I had ordered from Sarah @dazzlingtragedy arrived this week!!
I had ordered Audrey Rose from Jack the Ripper, Aelin and Rowan from Throne of Glass and Feyre from ACOTAR and they are just amazing!
If you want to order some funko from Sarah, here is the link to her handle on IG : https://www.instagram.com/dazzlingtragedy/?hl=en . And as I am one of her influencers, you can use my code SOPHIE10 if you want a discount!
So many great news this week! That’s just what I needed this month!
On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)
I have decided to change my monthly wrap up. Instead of linking to all my reviews, I made a post with my Top reads this month! See below and click on the graphic to read the post.
As I have read 14 books in January (a first for years) and reviewed 12 it would have been just too long!
So you’ll get the list of my reviews here below and a link to my favorites!
Thsi week the topic of Top 5 Tuesday didn’t inspire me as I already had made a long Most Awaited books for 2020 so I decided to improvise and write a post about my dream collaborations between authors!
In the blogosphere and literary world
First our weekly quiz! Epic Reads wonders if you’ll have your HEA navigating these romance plots! Click on the graphic below to start the quiz 😉 PS I had no luck! ” It won’t be a happy ending…
Oooof, we’re sorry to say that your relationship fell victim to one of the central conflicts in some of our fave YA romance books. Better luck next time!”
Then learn how to make a blog header with Kat @novelsandwaffles!
Pfew that’s almost it (hopefully another surprise for you next week)! I will now take a few hours replying and commenting/blog hopping!
How was your week? Any great news?
Thanks for reading!
Congrats on your first physical ARC! I didn’t even know they were a thing!! I’ll be checking out the customised funko pops because my friends loves funko pops and now I know that you can get customised ones that’s pretty awesome!
PS. I didn’t get a happy ending. Why?! I thought I was doing pretty well 😛
Congrats on getting your first ARC. I remember that feeling when I received my first a few years ago. Happy reading and have a wonderful week.
Thank you so much Vi!!
Congrats on getting your first physical ARC!!!!! I have gotten a couple from going to Comic Con, but I haven’t gotten one from the publisher haha. And I love those Funko Pops!!! Especially the female elf looking one (I’m guessing its Aelin but I haven’t read any of those books) I will definitely check out her page!
How exciting, Sophie! We don’t get many physical ARCs in Canada, so I can relate to your excitement. I hope that you love it! 🙂
Thank you so much Lori! And I was not aware that Canada shared our lot!
Those funko’s are adorable!
Wishing you a great reading week
Thank you so much Shelley Rae!!

It’s amazing when you can see haha! I’m the same way, my vision recently changed and now I have to put those reading glasses things on sometimes. Irritating. 🙂 Anyway congrats on the ARC! Woot! And love the Funkos!!! Elves!!!
Those Funkos are cute! Congrats on the hardcover- are the candles yours? I’m right behind you in the glasses department, my reading glasses aren’t doing their job anymore.

I’m struggling to blog hop and network too. It takes a lot of time and effort but totally worth it. We just have to go slow and steady <3 CONGRATS on your first physical arc!! So happy for you <3
Thank you so much Jessica!
Custom funko pops?!?! Brilliant!!! Congrats on getting a physical ARC. Thats awesome. Hopefully your new glasses are wonderful and you have no more issues. Getting older is sucky.
Thank you so much Samantha! And yes aging sucks LOL
Big congrats on the paperback! I look forward to reading your thoughts about it.
The Funkos look really cute, I expect we’ll be seeing them popping up in your gorgeous photos. 😉 I hope the new glasses continue to make your life easier, Sophie. Hope you have a great week.
Thank you so much for all this Flora!!
Those funkos are so cool!
Congrats on the book mail! I’ve never had a physical ARC either and I have no idea how to go about even requesting them, lol. To be honest, I’m not too bothered about it but I’d still happy dance if it ever happened. 🙂
Hope you have a lovely week, Sophie!
I thought that as you live in UK you’d be innundated by ARCs Nicci LOL
How exciting to get your first physical ARC, and what a beauty it is! Such a pretty cover, hope the story is just as good.
Aging does suck! My eyesight has gone steadily downhill since I turned 45. Now at 50 glasses are such a pain, but I tried contacts and I’m not sure I could bear having the feeling of something in my eyes. 🙁 Have a great week, Sophie! 🙂
Thank you Rachel and sorry for replying so late to your comment!!!
Congrats on getting your first physical ARC! That’s so cool. 🙂
Thank you so much Suzanne!
Congrats on getting your first physical arc! I love those funko pops, too.
So many mail goodies this week. Those funkos are cool, and I hope the book is a winner for you. I got progressives last year, and just can’t use them right. I sort of gave up
I am lucky enough that they work perfectly well for me Sam!
UGH. I have to get bifocals soon. My vision keeps slowly declining. Getting older sucks sometimes Glad your new lenses are helping!
Congrats on the physical ARC!
Love the custom Funkos! I may just have to commission one
