In my private life first

I am still struggling to answer comments and blog hop but I am not despairing! I do it my way as in : as soon as I have time and am not dead beat on my feet!

 

This week has been a week of great news and events!

First I see clearly now! Literally!

Aging sucks as I have explained and my glasses were not appropriate anymore! I felt like my book or computer was “thrown my way” and had to take off my glasses but then was left in the mist to see far away!

Now that I have my brand new glasses with progressive lenses it’s a brand new world in high definition 😀

Second incredible news: after three years of blogging I got my first physical ARC ever! And from Harper UK! So a big publishing house! 

Honestly I stopped believing I would get them and just requested as an “unattainable dream”. I never got an answer from the house and one day, this beauty landed in my mailbox!

I can’t wait to dive in!

 

And third good news: the custom Funko Pop that I had ordered from Sarah @dazzlingtragedy arrived this week!!

  1. Congrats on your first physical ARC! I didn’t even know they were a thing!! I’ll be checking out the customised funko pops because my friends loves funko pops and now I know that you can get customised ones that’s pretty awesome!

    PS. I didn’t get a happy ending. Why?! I thought I was doing pretty well 😛

  3. Congrats on getting your first physical ARC!!!!! I have gotten a couple from going to Comic Con, but I haven’t gotten one from the publisher haha. And I love those Funko Pops!!! Especially the female elf looking one (I’m guessing its Aelin but I haven’t read any of those books) I will definitely check out her page!

  13. Yay for book mail! You have read some great books this month! I had an eye exam and they said I only need readers, my eyesight is still very good. My daughter though needed stronger glasses.

  14. It’s amazing when you can see haha! I’m the same way, my vision recently changed and now I have to put those reading glasses things on sometimes. Irritating. 🙂 Anyway congrats on the ARC! Woot! And love the Funkos!!! Elves!!!

    Congrats on the book mail! I’ve never had a physical ARC either and I have no idea how to go about even requesting them, lol. To be honest, I’m not too bothered about it but I’d still happy dance if it ever happened. 🙂

  23. How exciting to get your first physical ARC, and what a beauty it is! Such a pretty cover, hope the story is just as good.

    Aging does suck! My eyesight has gone steadily downhill since I turned 45. Now at 50 glasses are such a pain, but I tried contacts and I’m not sure I could bear having the feeling of something in my eyes. 🙁 Have a great week, Sophie! 🙂

  26. So many mail goodies this week. Those funkos are cool, and I hope the book is a winner for you. I got progressives last year, and just can’t use them right. I sort of gave up

      1. UGH. I have to get bifocals soon. My vision keeps slowly declining. Getting older sucks sometimes Glad your new lenses are helping!
